We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how PlantTreasure (the “App”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our IoT device management services. By using the App, you consent to the practices described below.
2. Information We Collect
A. Personal Information You Provide
User Avatars & Device Backgrounds: When you set a profile picture or device background, we access your camera and photo gallery. These images are:
- Stored locally on your device for fast access;
- Uploaded securely to our servers to enable synchronization across devices (e.g., if you switch phones, your avatar and background will be restored).
You can delete these images at any time via the App settings.
B. Device & Network Information
To enable IoT device control, we collect:
- Bluetooth Permission: To discover and pair with smart devices.
- Wi-Fi Permissions: To configure Wi-Fi credentials for your devices.
- Location Permissions (Approximate/Precise): Required by Android to scan nearby Bluetooth/Wi-Fi devices. We do not track, store, or share your location history.
- Network State: To manage connectivity between your phone and devices.
- Device Identifiers: IP address, OS version, and model for diagnostics.
C. Third-Party Login Data
When you log in via:
- Google Sign-In: We receive your public name, email, and profile picture.
- WeChat or QQ: We receive your nickname, avatar, and a unique OpenID (anonymous identifier).
Note: We never access your contacts, messages, or private social media data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We process your data only for the following purposes:
- Enable setup, control, and updates for your IoT devices.
- Authenticate your account via Google, WeChat, or QQ.
- Synchronize your user avatar and device background across devices.
- Improve app stability and troubleshoot connection issues.
We do NOT:
- Sell, rent, or share your data for advertising.
- Use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
- Store sensitive credentials (e.g., Wi-Fi passwords) in plain text.

- All data transmitted to our servers is encrypted via TLS.
- User-uploaded images are stored in secure cloud storage with access controls.
- You can delete your account and all associated data at any time.

- Access or delete your personal data;
- Withdraw third-party login permissions via Google/WeChat/QQ settings;
- Request a copy of your data.
